AUDIO DESCRIBER AUDITIONS
Be paid to go to major theater productions. Learn to describe performances for blind and visually impaired people.
Auditions for new audio describers will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2:30 PM at the University Library, 5009 Roosevelt Way NE.
Audio Description provides access to live shows for blind and visually impaired people. During a performance, the describer inserts quick descriptions of action and other visual content to help a blind person understand what is happening. Those who pass the audition will attend a workshop before being assigned to describe shows.
The library is located on the corner of NE 50th Street and Roosevelt Way. A small parking lot is on the west side of the building. The main entrance is on the east (Roosevelt) side. Auditions will be in the meeting room downstairs.
Arts and Visually Impaired Audiences is the sole sponsor of this event. For more information contact Jesse Minkert at 206-323-7190. E-mail: aviaboss@aol.com.
